All about top grad school
which bank places the best in terms of its analysts getting into top business schools (top 5)? Also, which group is the most attractive in terms of valuable experience that top b-schools would like to hear?

Career Resources
Why do you think it would be any bank other than GS? It's the most prestigious, has the best deal flow and does the most complex transactions. How could other banks possibly compete? It's not like they do different things or have a unique value proposition.
The group probably makes little to no difference.
Edit: Also, Lazard.
This is easy... GS will place you in a better bschool than any other bank.
What about other banks?
MS ML LB Citi CS UBS
I really don't know many analysts who apply to b-school after 2 or 3 years...
Does GS really place THAT much better than everywhere else? I guess that makes sense to me, but is that firmwide? I mean if you're an analyst in ops or something how many of those are really going to top grad schools?
bump
I am definitely more than curious, are people placing into good MBA programs out of ops? This can't be the norm, can it? Obviously there are other factors involved.....
yeah ops guys are usually rainmakers. they go to HBS and tear it up and then have 15 job offers by graduation, and they'll be making 7 figures 5 years out
lol you guys are awful...but honestly I'm sure the people in charge of admissions at the top B-schools look at more than just the name of the employer and job title. This being that they see what sets you apart fromt he rest of the pack. I'm sure not all ops analysts actually want to get an MBA, so the ones that do would definitely have to come up with a better strategy than expecting the GS name to help them get in. It's not impossible but you have to be a good candidate, which at the end of the day is just common sense. The reason analysts in IB have more chances of getting into a top program is because to get to that position in the first place they already had to set themselves apart. pretty simple.
