Am I Doing Something Wrong?
So I've been networking hard for the next summer and am looking to break into IB and have reached out to several first year analysts to talk to them more about their experiences. Usually the call goes well in my opinion and we talk a little bit about everything and they ask for my resume or to stay in touch in the future but for some reason they don't connect me with higher ups but rather put me in touch with other analysts on their team. I'm not sure if this entirely bad but from my eyes I feel like they don't trust me/like me enough to help connect me with some of the higher ups in the bank. Any input would be great, thanks.
No your completely fine, usually the analysts and associates are the ones selecting interviews for the first rounds. Just keep doing what you are doing!
