I believe HSBC has a practice in HK as well.

Macquarie has an HK office I believe
where is Goldman?
^I think they moved their Asia practice to Beijing
Just out of curiosity. I know they moved HK ops to Beijing, but does that include like the singapore office as well?
BNP Paribas has a not-minor presence. GS still has bankers in Hong Kong, it's just that their China-related deal teams have all shifted to BJ. GS Beijing is roughly double the size of GS Hong Kong now.
HSBC, Lazard (small office), GS
Is it easy to get a working permit in HK if you are non EU/US citizen ??
@ Mo - not difficult
RBS has a big team there (not sure though as to how they are doing)
jefferies houlihan lokey piper jaffray
albeit somewhat smaller offices
blackstone has an office too, but small...
is it easier for an american to get an ib job in asia?
if you speak fluent Mandarin and graduate from known colleges (as in all the ivies and top public schools) , it's easier.
Predominantly Chinese-Americans. If you're white and do not have super language skills, no shot at the analyst level. Is it easier than getting an IBD job in New York? I'd say it's harder to get an Summer Analyst job in Hong Kong due to much, much smaller SA classes and there are "hard" requirements (i.e. you need to know chinese + have more solid technical skills + generally more rounds of interviews as well).
