Am I on the right track for Junior IB SA?

Hey guys,

Just a brief background: Currently a sophomore at community college in the northeast/mid-atlantic region. I am transferring to a UVA/NYU tier school after this spring as an incoming junior, and will be majoring in economics; unfortunately, my GPA just isn't high enough for the undergrad business schools at said universities.

Now, that being said: For my freshman summer, I studied abroad studying financial markets at a complete non target university in London; the program was partnered with Bloomberg however! I was able to earn my Bloomberg certification and even had the opportunity to manage a virtual portfolio of $65M! It was an awesome learning experience and I learned basic corporate finance/investing approaches (how to properly do technical analysis & utilize the terminal functions).

For this upcoming sophomore summer, I was not able to land a PWM/IB internship. However, I was able to land a summer finance internship! It is at a top aerospace F500, (lockeed/leidos/boeing/etc) and is a rotational summer internship. I will be working with and rotating through various groups in the Finance division, one notably being FP&A.

Once I finish that internship this upcoming summer, recruiting will have already begun for Summer 2019 SA. I have been/will continue to prepare on my own for the interview process (technicals, behaviorals, etc.) and will be networking actively - I will be entering my new UNI at the time so I will definitely be able to utilize the OCR at these schools, which is in my opinion very good - almost all bb/mm recruit at these schools!

In your personal opinions, am I in a good place as a candidate? Assume GPA/EC's are on point (3.6+, leadership positions, etc.). Should I post my resume and have it critiqued on here? I really just want to be sure I am as competitive as possible, since I will be up against resumes of students who already have done PWM/prior IB internships.

Thanks ahead!
