Am I screwed?

Hi I'm in year 13, and have been lurking on this sub for a while. I have an offer for Warwick economics, and I have my eyes set on IB. Ik it's still very early, but I understand one of the main reasons ppl go into IB is to switch to PE after a couple years. However it seems your chances of going into PE in London are very low if you don't speak a European language.

Sadly I only speak English and don't speak any European languages, so worried about a career in IB. I could try learning one but I doubt it'll be to the expected standards employers are looking for.

Any advice regarding this? Thanks

Thanks will try duolingo. Do you think Spanish is any good? I ask as I took it for gcse (albeit I wasn't very great at it), and I hear people say it's easier to learn than french for an English speaker.

Hi, it's not that I'm dead set on PE, rn the focus is on IB or my chances to enter PE would be close to 0. It's just I understand most go into IB mainly for the exit opps I believe, of which PE seems to be the most common. And it appears knowing a European language here in London is basically a requirement. Do you know what other potential areas one can pivot from IB in London, if you don't speak a euro language?
