American M7 MBA recruiting for London IB
Looking to get some feedback regarding the prospects of an American recruiting for post-MBA IB in London. Any information would be incredibly helpful, but let's save any Brexit related discussions for another thread.
Generally speaking, I think it would be challenging. The Visa process as it currently stands makes it very difficult as it's both costly and time consuming (it's hard not to mention Brexit, but one of the unintended consequences might be a more relaxed Visa system). Furthermore, being fluent in a European language (with German, French, Spanish and Italian being the most important) is more or less mandatory so don't know how does it apply to you. Frankly, unless you have some strong ties to the region, I think it would be much more productive to start in NYC and request a transfer the following year (which from a Visa perspective is 100% easier).
Thanks for the input - that makes sense. Agreed that Brexit may make it easier to go to London, I just wanted to avoid the "don't go to London because Brexit" responses.
Why do you want to go to London? Just curious.
