An Idea

In the interest of eliminating a lot of the clutter on certain threads within the General IB Discussion forum, I propose the following:

No more hijacking threads with one-on-one quibbles that benefit absolutely no one. You do a real disservice to people (including me) who are interested in others' opinions, perspectives, experiences, etc. on topics that may carry some significance. Having to scroll through 15 posts of two people arguing, questioning each other's credentials, sexual orientation, or whatever, is at the same time annoying and utterly wasteful discourse.

I am not saying that people don't need to be called out from time to time if, for instance, they have no authority to opine on certain subjects; I am merely suggesting that those reactionary posts be limited to 1) personal messages; 2) the Off-Topic forum; or 3) even a new thread.

Any takers?
