AN1 staffing situation / when to leave

In a mid BB, average team. London based.

Been on the desk since July so a little over 6 months now and don’t feel fulfilled. All I get staffed on are discussion materials (not pitches, just breakfast chats) with little analysis and mainly PPT.

On one live deal and even that, another team is holding the pen on the model.

Staffer does not often staff me on things, or otherwise staffs me on meaningless books

Is this my sign to leave / is one year of experience enough or should I stick it out for two at least.

At 6 months I don’t feel that it could be a huge performance issue but rather cultural issue. No one is expecting a 6 month analyst to be good at their job.. so do you get along with your people? At one year if this continues after talking with your staffer, it’s time to look at other teams internally or even different banks.

I get along at the junior level, but VP and above I have 0 visibility. Staffer is pretty indifferent about me
