Analyst Investment & Commercial Banking
Does anyone know anything about the Analyst Investment & Commercial Banking position with BMO? Is it a back-office (supporting) type of position? Here is the description:
The Analyst will support the deal team by analyzing financial and operating data for trends in financial performance of companies and industries. The Analyst will complete due diligence on current and perspective clients. The Analyst will further support the deal teams in a variety of other portfolio management needs for the business. Experienced Analysts may participate in client calls.

Seems more like commercial banking/credit analyst/portfolio management. If the banks are joined it seems like a relatively easy path to hop to the IB side (relative to lateralling from non-IBD).
