Analyst TC MegaThread
Can we use this as an total comp megathread I'm interested to hear what Analysts are pulling in at some of the EBs compared to the BB and Middle-tier banks.
I've heard of private companies like Gugg, Blair, etc. beginning to pay substantially more than JPM, Goldman, and MS.
Would love to hear some thoughts on this and what some analysts are coming in with. Thanks.
Edit: (will update as comments come in)
PWP: 110k base + 90k (upper-mid to top-bucket)
Lazard: 120k base + 70k (top-bucket)
BofA: 110k base + 70k (upper-mid to top-bucket)
Barclays: 110k base + 40k bonus (mid-bucket)
Jefferies: 110k base + 40-50k bonus (mid-bucket)
MS: 100-110k base + 45-50k bonus (mid-bucket)
SocGen: 100k base + 35k bonus (mid-bucket)
RBC: 100k base + 65k (top-bucket)
This is hard to say because it varies with deal flow.
At MS - 110 base and received ~$50k full year bonus this past cycle. Mid bucket NYC
For reference these are some numbers among my friends (all An1, NYC) this past year (bonus cycle mid-2022).

Can confirm Jefferies AN1 mid-bucket was 40k-50k
Surprised to see not a lot of comp discrepancy between some BB and EBs
OP can you update your post as people comment? would be great to have it all consolidated
Sure
.
Qatalyst An1 (base 120, bonus ~140)
Is this for real?
Yes, July ‘22 and it’s actually ~10k more if you include the one time profit sharing An1s get in their 6 month stub
Wells Fargo An1 (top coverage group, mid/top bucket): 110 base, 70-75 bonus
Edit: Not sure why I got MS. I work at Wells and this was the bonus paid out last year.
what group? are u in regal/FIG/industrials?
Yeah one of those
I thought most analysts got paid out more towards July / August
what's the word on gugg analyst comp this year
Curious as well
Haven’t heard much in regards to comp, but want to flag…
The other day I was in a Duane Reade and overhead some Gugg analysts…instead of saying “Guggenheim” they were saying “Assenheim”
One of them also said “I’m getting some Silicon breast implants with my bonus.” So I’m guessing they are going to be pretty big. The bonus that is.
Says a little something about the culture over there if you ask me
guggenheim confirmed to have the absolute thickest analysts
"The bonus that is." 💀
JPM?? Any numbers?
For mid-year 2022
Truist: 100k base + 80k bonus (upper-mid bucket)
damn is this for real
What group?
What are you thinking for this year? I’m guessing 40-50K for An1s and maybe $50-$65K An2s at Truist?
This was for investment banking coverage, bonuses ranged from 70 to 90
Damn. Might mess around and apply to Truist
Mid-year 2022 for An1 at DB:
100k base + 65-70k (top-bucket).
I think mid-bucket was around 50k
DB paying lowk.
