Any other current juniors get absolutely boned for SA 2021?

I've been speaking to a lot of other kids and it seems like SA 2021 was just rough. Lots of kids struggling to get interviews even though their candidacy profile seems competitive. Would like to hear what you guys think and how your experience has been so far.

My backround: 3.7 at Semi-target, BB wealth management internship freshman summer, VC internship during school year, then small botique IB internship sophomore summer. Networked pretty hard (1-3 analysts at each place I applied) but only landed 2 first rounds and nothing else.

Yeah I completely get that but my school doesn't have an absurd amount of people in IB, but I guess I could have reached out to random people, so my fault.

Seems the consensus on here was if you're school has OCR and On campus interviews it is definitely a semi-target

1-3 analysts per firm is not close to enough unless for example 3 really liked you. Also, fordham is a non-target.

What happened with the first rounds?

The chance of someone getting 3 non alumni at a bank to push for you is honestly really low.

3.8 from a target, with athletics and two PE summer internships. Only interest I've gotten is from a tiny boutique that just started interviews.

3.7, Prior HF experience, Varsity sports at a top 10 LAC. Have gotten 1 first round so far for ER. Didn't do a ton of networking though so it's expected.
