Any point in helping Headhunters?

I keep getting contacted by headhunters asking for my help in "finding appropriate candidates" for position XYZ. Is there any point in actually making an effort to help out? I'm thinking it's a waste of time. However, some people believe it's a good way to build strong relationships with headhunters, and that those relationships will be beneficial if I decide to make a move to a different industry. Thoughts?

JoshFi7A lot of time it is another way of asking if you want job.

deal_mkrusually there is a referral bounty, so if you fwd you someone and they get hired you get paid

sounds like a good reason enough for me...

Speaking of which, I'm aware of a bounty out for a TMT analyst position for candidates with prior IB experience if anyone reading this is looking or knows someone looking. Job is in SF.

We can split da gold if ya want. PM me bro.

Lol, the guy that runs that big LinkedIn group, right? I figured someone would recognize the position, that guy is pretty deeply embedded in the IB LinkedIn circles.

I haven't spoke with him about it, but he told me his bounty for successful referrals and it sounds pretty sweet. Then again, I've had very limited experience with headhunters/recruiters so far, so idk.
