Any Resources to Find Middle/Low Tier Banks?

Okay so I’m a rising junior and am trying to be realistic when trying to find my first internship. I’ve accepted that a lot of the BB are finishing up around now and are no longer looking for candidates for next summer, so I am trying to shift my focus towards smaller banks. Does anyone have a good resource where I can start finding smaller companies to apply to for next summer?

Found my sophomore SA role this way - go on LinkedIn and filter companies. Industry filter “Investment Banking” and employee count do something reasonable. Can also filter location if you have preferences.

From there, using company LinkedIn followers can be a proxy to see sizes of firms or at least start a list. Most lesser known MM IB shops will have 1k-10k followers (though firms like LionTree, Allen & Co, and Ducera, etc have in this range but are unreasonable at this point).

Download a email scraper for LinkedIn, most are Crome extensions (Apollo.io is my favorite, skrapp.io also works. Most have free trials, just download another when one runs out). Find relevant people at firms you want to target, get their email, reach out for info about recruiting/to network.
