Banker88There are still boutique opportunities that always pop up, even up until May/June. Keep networking and don't settle for back office if you want to do IBD full-time. I was able to get a BB FT offer without doing banking in the summer or working at a BB, so keep trying.

that's because u work at ubs, inferior and easy to get into.

Man I need to figure out what I'm doing wrong... I'm in the same boat as this guy. Check my thread with suggestions guys if you can. (I don't mean to hijack I'm just as discouraged as you especially with all these guys asking which of their 5 great internships to accept)

Keep at it. It's full-time that matters. Use your school's network or even Craigslist to find something related. Offer to work for free if you can afford it. Remember the goal of an internship is to learn something valuable - if you do that and you can talk about it coherently you will be set for full-time recruiting

Last year, I sent my resume to a boutique in early March, and they got back to me with an offer in mid-May. Many no-name boutiques don't have a structured recruiting timeline and will hire interns when they need them. There are a massive number of these shops, many of them aren't hiring, but if you can grow the balls to make a few cold calls, and just cast a wide net, you should get some callbacks.
