Marine vet here, currently at a BB (not in banking) with a degree in finance from a good school. Desperately trying to break into IB. Are there any vets or other wise who are willing to network so I can learn the lay?

you might have to sacrifice and do an An1 but I think it’s possible I met some people at GS who did middle office and transitioned to front office after a 2-3 years.

How many years have you been in your role at the BB? Given the current market, your best bet might be applying to b-school and entering IB as an MBA associate. Shoot me a PM if you're interested in learning more about the process
Not long, I can potentially move to Corporate banking this August, then to IB after doing that for a couple of years (within my bank.)
If you’re a JPM you only have to Stu within your LOB for a year.
