Anyone else concerned with how slow they are?

I started earlier this summer and I have been logging off at 6pm for the last three weeks. Haven’t had anything to do. All of my projects are at a standstill. I reached out to my staffer about it. Still have not received any new projects. Is anyone else super slow? I’m very stressed about it and honestly hate it because I feel like I could be fired tomorrow.

This is me, I effectively only work literally 1 hour a day maybe 2 and started 2-3 months ago.

I’ve voiced it out to my manager and team consistently that I’m at my desk doing nothing and can’t be out to dry come performance review time but no one’s looping me into anything. I just said fuck it and silo’d myself until they ask for something. I did my part and it’s not really on me if they don’t want to give me work to develop my skill set.

I’m using my extra desk time to study for the CFA after doing my work, just use your extra time towards something for yourself. I see it as a plus tbh.

Work at an MM shop and am getting the same thing.  We have hit pause on multiple deals we were prepping over the summer to ride out the end of the year.  Not just bad luck on my staffings either as pitch volume seems to be lower going into the holiday season and others on the team have hit pause on separate deals.

Honestly a blessing in disguise to better prepare yourself for future potential exits
