Anyone Else Feel Lost?
After working for the majority of my undergrad to get into investment banking, and then subsequently working for ~3 years in IB I now feel lost. I feel like in college I was very determined to get this job, and now I've lost that professional drive that I once had. Anyone else relate and have some advice on getting over that hump?
If it's any consolation, I think many of us here are on the same boat. I try to remember why I'm doing this, but am beginning to wonder if the comp is worth the sacrifice. I want to be proud of the way I lived - but this may not be it chief.
Yeah - I feel that. I'm just getting tired of the repetitive nature of the work and I'm not interested in lateralling and starting a new job virtually, feel like it'd be impossible to learn anything new.
same. Wasted several years doing crappy credit write ups only to be surrounded by toxic people. in a pretty useless role. It is all glamor until you've been in it
