An older friend of mine interned in chemicals 2 summers ago. Apparently the team is only 20 people and there are barely any junior bankers. At one point there was only 2 analysts and 2 associates so it kind of leads to a weird IB experience. I think his hours were better than most coverage groups though so could be worth it

You get the same looks from headhunters that other coverage groups do. But if you want to do PE I would suggest joining a bigger group with more analysts — specifically second years—- who can help you prep
