Anyone gone from American CPA to Canadian CPA?

I'm thinking of getting my CPA because I'm trying to go the Big 4 TAS -> IB route. I'm a Canadian who just graduated from an American university and am eligible (since I already have have 150 credits) to take the CPA exams in the US. I'm currently back at home in Canada and am wondering whether I take the American CPA and then do the transitional courses/test be get my certification in Canada or just take the Canadian CPA program (which seems much more extensive and won't let me take the test for a much longer time).

Does anyone have experience in this area?
