Anyone Had Any Good/Bad/Ugly Experiences Doing a Roomshare in FiDi?

So I've got to move to NYC in relatively short order to start up a gig in March. I came across a website that offers roomshares for young professionals/students/interns in the FiDi at good rates within luxury buildings. I don't want to mention the specific website and get flagged as spamming advertisements but if you Google "Room Shares Financial District" you'll get an idea of what I'm working with.

The beauty seems to be that I can sign a 1 or 2 month lease so it seems like a good landing pad for a short-term lease that will allow me some more time to find a more permanent arraignment once I'm actually in the city and can meet up with brokers to tour units in person (I'm all the way in Denver right now).

I'm just curious if anyone has any first or second hand experiences with this and feels that it is a viable option or if there's some way to get fucked on this that I'm not taking into account?
