Anyone here actually used VBA during their internship?
Heading into an S&T internship this summer, and my friend is heading into an IB one. We both have very basic knowledge of VBA - would we be at a big disadvantage if we didn't really use VBA during the internship? Everyone keeps telling me I need to know how to code for S&T, but I'm a liberal arts major...
For internships you have nothing to worry about. The groups would test your vba knowledge if it was necessary. Don't stress it at all.
If they wanted someone with VBA skills from the get go they would have hired someone with that on their resume. They probably hired you for what you have, that those who currently know VBA don't. Could be your style of critical thinking shaped by your education? Either way if any skill set turns out to be needed, they probably hired you knowing you'd have the tenacity to learn quick and get on par fast! Don't worry!
