Anyone here like their M&A team?

Hey Everybody,

I've been working in an ECM role at a middle market bank in NYC for the last 9 months and I think it's time for a change. I'm looking to pivot to an M&A role (open to any sector) and would love to know if anyone here genuinely likes the people they work with (strong indicator of a good team culture in my opinion).

For more context, I'm looking to make this pivot to learn more about the M&A process, build solid relationships in a given industry and have better exit options in case I don't want to stay in banking long term (i.e. LMM PE shop, Asset Management, Corp Dev., etc.). I'm OK with the hours and actual work itself - as mundane as it may be from time to time. Really just looking for a change of scenery here.

Geographic locations I'm open to moving to are Nashville, Miami, Dallas, Houston, Austin, LA, SF, San Diego, Portland, and Boston, as well as just staying put in New York. Yes, I am also in contact with recruiters at the moment, but I figure if someone on here is relatively happy in their role and has a team who's looking to hire a new analyst, I'd be happy to get in touch. I'm also happy to talk to any HR reps who might happen to be lurking on this site.

Thanks in advance. Talk soon :)
