Anyone here work at Ardea Partners have any insight on the firm

Anyone here work at Ardea and have any insights on dealflow, culture, pay and exits?

Looks like they spun off from GS like FT Partners but specialize in FIG rather than Fintech advisory?

Generalist but most of the deal flow is concentrated in FIG + natural resources. Very lean shop with high expectations demanded from the juniors, so the experience is pretty intense and wlb will often reflect that. Culture is pretty good, most of the juniors are pretty close and the seniors really have focused on fostering a culture of mentorship and try to get to know you, but during the work day people are locked in and are focused on their jobs so bullpen can feel a bit cold when everyone’s busy. Compensation is high, and everyone gets profit share.

Hours vary 60-70 can be better or worse, barely any weekend work. Comp is absolutely top of the street—echo profit sharing and bonuses >100% of base starting at analyst. Heard they may pay quarterly bonuses which is crazy

Deal flow seems fine and they do big deals. Do expect pitching as well though. Culture is good and Analyst/associate retention is >50% closer to 100%. Firm wants you to stay and not recruit.
