Anyone take a GTFO of IB job and regret it? Was suffering from anxiety in IB and took the first thing I could get and I regret it. How can I get back?

Answer to 2nd question depends on how long it has been since you left, how long you were there in IB for your first stint and how you can craft a story why you want back in
1 YOE and I realized Corp is too slow for me I want to be doing deals
Honest question though — have you had a chance to live life / enjoy more? Maybe you’re just wired for deal life but I feel like the anxiety piece would just compound (not to say a corp job can’t cause that)

I regret it
But not because I dislike corporate. I actually enjoy my corp dev/strat role and despised my 4 years in IB. The regret comes from the paycut. It is too much, and I suppose these F500s aren't going to wake up and adjust comp anytime soon. No idea what to do

Take a hunting trip to Anchorage. When I felt stressed, that was the one place that would clear my mind. After my last trip, I quit my job and moved out east where I got a new role that was much better for my health and my career.

What were you making all in in IB vs what now? I feel like I got lucky and am overpaid, got a corp offer for $230K 9-5 and have not looked back. Most I saw were in $120-$150k range.
