Please buy a PC. You'll be using a PC in the office.

The most annoying thing during internship/training is people asking "How do you do that on a Mac?"

Keep in mind that a decent amount of your PPT and Excel work will be somewhat muscle memory so it's better to keep it consistent and use windows for school to prepare you for the UI during your internship / when you convert to FT.

Windows is great, just don't cheap out on your laptop/computer. Get a nice XPS or thinkpad. I have an XPS and it's phenomenal.

I don't know if other people here simply don't work in IB and are lying about their title but...

1. Most banks will not give a laptop but you're remoting in via Citrix anyways. As long as you have a Windows keyboard, you're fine as you're simply just logging into your work desktop

2. If you ever need Windows, you can install Bootcamp on your [Intel] Macbook for free and you just need to connect a Windows keyboard to get the ALT key and such.
