Anyone know of any free programs you can use to pull company data into excel that are similar to CapIQ or FactSet? Obviously won't be as comprehensive but even just like historical price data.
Unfortunately I don't have the extra $20,000 laying around to set-up a CapIQ account but I do a lot of things in excel and doing it manually is a bitch. And writing macros for that stuff is pretty tiresome too.
Mergent Online. Free through any major public library. You can export literally 30 years worth of financials for some companies. You'll figure out a quick routine for formatting it in Excel.
