Applying for full time positions after already accepted one
I accepted a FT IB offer at a BB recently. However, I still want to apply for full time offers to a number of places. I'm curious to see what else I could get but I wouldn't accept the offers. Could this affect my FT offer in any way if my bank found out? I'd explain to them though.
Don't do it unless you're prepared to be jobless.
At my school people accepted BB FT return offer. Then proceeded to try recruiting for some PE firms. PE firm found out and cut them.
At least they still have their BB job. Although some of the team will have a bad taste for these people.
looks like we a got a tough guy over here
This is a joke right? Like this is satire and making fun of some of the other recent threads about kids weighing offers that they don't even have yet and other stupid questions like that, right? Guys?
What kind of psychopath are you? Interviewing is the fucking worst.
Chill out man
Take a deep breath dude
This is a terrible idea no matter how you look at it. If you're not even gunning to accept an offer at a better bank, this is literally a 0 upside / unlimited downside play. I'm not sure how your bank would react to you fishing for other offers, but why would you even risk it? Then from an external perspective, you're literally taking interview spots from other kids who may not have offers and are hustling for an opportunity.
How the fuck do brainless kids even get this far in the process...
What about applying to off-cycle internships to do in the year between SA and FT?
Why the fuck would you risk getting canned at your job (that you don’t want to leave) just to interview (which sucks, especially given you’re wasting non-work time doing so) for jobs that you know you wouldn’t take?
OP here: I'm just trying to see what else I would have gotten if I didn't get a return. I'm hoping to apply to Mckinsey, Bain, etc. too.
