Applying for same firm/position - 3 times a charm? *Need Help
Situation I got here - not sure what to do :
In Fall 2010, I did some adjustments to the resume and applied for FT during that time, got interview from Firm A but did not advance to second round. Feedback said I was second on the list to go superday but they are only sending one. I decide to go for SA interviews in Spring and got one interview with Firm A. Again, did not end up getting selected for SA unfortunately. Followed up couple weeks later to see if there was an opening, but one of the interviewers said nothing.
I ended up receiving an offer somewhere else but not IB for the summer. I plan to do that internship, then finish off in Fall with my Honors semester and apply for FT again with the same firm obviously during Fall 2011.
However, there was this new posting that came up looking for an IMMEDIATE HIRE for FT analyst with said Firm A 3 days ago - it says it prefers to have past IB experience or CFA designation completed, but the posting said they are prepared to hire at various levels... but obviously in the entry level looking for an IB Analyst.
My dilemma is this, technically, I'm done my UG requirements, but missing my Honors Semester. Plus, I'm doing an internship right now, but I'm really shocked that this FT posting came up. Now, do you think I should still apply for this one?
If I get an interview, this would be the third time I would be interviewing with the firm within 9 months... and if I don't get it, do you think it will HURT my chances if I apply for FT in my Fall when I finish my degree? THIS IS THE MAIN THING IM MOST CONCERNED ABOUT HERE
Because technically, wouldn't Undergraduates stand a better chance when banks recruit in Fall and not during off-cycle season? Obviously to apply for this role, I would need to take off my Honors Expected completion stuff on my resume and possibly the internship as well (possibly make some alterations but I'm not sure whether this will be looked up favorably), since it's looking to hire IMMEDIATELY.
Would love to hear your advice on this. thanks
