Applying to an interview at a MM IB Firm...
I did some searching around my city area for some IB firms and found a MM IB firm that's actually less than 5 miles away from where I last interned at a IM firm. Their website says that they offer internships to undergrads, and that they understand that the purpose of these internships is to learn, build your resume and network - they're not expecting any sort of FT commitment which I thought was cool of them to express.
All they said about the SA position was pretty vague, and to just email X associate with your cover and resume. I thought it was it would be in bad taste to just send my resume so I emailed the lady and introduced myself, and asked if there would be a good time where her and I could speak more in detail about the internship before I just handed her my resume.
Good call instead of just sending my info? I'm currently awaiting a reply from her, but I'm sure that if I end up on the phone with her it'll just turn into a phone interview.
What sort of technicals would everyone recommend I brush up on? I"ve never interned at a IB before.
why would you brush up on technicals for a quick chat about a SA position. This phone call will not turn into an interview, but it might result in a later phone interview for a position.
