Are Arabs considered diversity?
Are arabs considered diversity and if you come from an arab country and is dark skinned would you also be able to join black diversity programs?

Just out of curiousity, does that just „count“ if you are citizen of an arab country, or also if you are born and raised in a western country but are of arab origin and „look arab“?
I mean if your of arab origin you should easily be able to get an arab citizenship in like less than a month.
But I dont think so because they usually ask for place of birth and citizenship. So if you dont have an arab citizenship they might think you just changed names or sum.
No banks count Arab as diversity
Middle east / Asia is very overrepresented in finance so Arab is not diversity at any bank. The qualifier is African-American not just dark complexion.
you can do whatever you want but I would be pretty embarrassed to show up at a diversity event for black people as someone who is clearly of Arab descent

No, we're not diversity. Don't know what the above commenters are talking about on "Over Representation" I'm the only Arab I know working in Finance (USA).
It's overrepresentation at a broader level - Middle east / Asia as a category. It's not done by diversity for every group
If this is UK I've still seen plenty of privately educated arabs/indians join stuff like SEO, but you would still be overrepresented on a numbers basis so proportionally for quotas it won't make any difference.
