Are Asians eligible for SEO?
Will SEO accept Asians/Indians who go to a target school, or are they more focused on Hispanics and Native/African Americans from non-targets?

I think they do accept you but is there really much point for you if you already go to a target?
Well it would be for my sophomore summer internship so I figured maybe I can get a better internship through SEO than the regular recruiting process?
I have no experience with SEO. However, every affirmative action program I've seen was for UNDER-REPRESENTED minorities.

Yes. SEO will accept Asian.
But SEO NYC is primarily targeting African Americans and Hispanics. Thus, being an Asian will put you at a tremendous disadvantage. SEO HK primarily takes Asians, but rarely takes sophomore and in fact, they cancel the whole program this year due to the crisis.
Yea, SEO and INROADS accepts Asians. From what I know though INROADS accepts more Asians than SEO. Both are great programs to get a quality internship especially this year.
I'm not really familiar with INROADS, do they place college students in banking too?
Yea INROADS places college students in banking.. but not to the degree as SEO. Also, SEO is a far better program than INROADS.
I'm in this year's SEO class and about 20-30% of the kids were asian and most of them went to targets.
What are my chances of getting a S&T BB internship in NYC, London, or HK through SEO as a 3.7 GPA sophomore at a target university? The internship would be for the summer after this year, my sophomore year.

SEO tends to favor Chinese, Vietnamese, phillipine Asians than korean or japanese asians...
this seems true ... all the "Asians" (Indians included here) seem to be Chinese, I've only seen like one Vietnamese person maybe
How does SEO filter its applicants - is it by race, or socioeconomic status, or some combination of the two?
I didn't know INROADS took Asians... I read the FAQ page on their website and they specifically stated that the students eligible are "talented Black, Latino/Hispanic, and Native American Indian students who have a GPA of 2.8 or better and high school seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or better." (?)
also, when you apply for SEO your required to submit a picture of yourself! hahaha i guess there's been too many white kids with the last name of gonzalez or kim's ... getting into SEO.
dumb question, is SEO just for current students..ie if i graduated a couple of years back and am middle class minority, would i be able to join?
Just to add an important piece of context--many of the Asians recruited for SEO are recruited for Hong Kong offices, which makes it more understandable why there % of Asians in the program is as high as it is, in spite of the fact that they are not really an under-represented minority on the Street.
Is SEO rolling admissions and if so are people who apply earlier at an advantage? Around what month do most people apply?
