Are DCM hours that bad?

I’m going to be an SA at a BB in the DCM group. My friend who interned in DCM at a different BB said that the hours weren’t crazy. He said that he usually could get out the office around 7/8 and never worked weekends. However, on this website, people are saying that DCM hours are pretty bad and that analysts work until midnight all the time. What type of hours should I be expecting?

Do you know what Uber policy is with these firms? I've got an internship coming up in DCM at a BB and was wondering how late do you need to leave for the Uber? Is 8pm ok?

do you know what citi's policy is? and if you finsih your work earlier than 9 but wanna go gym/hang out with friends in the firm till 9, you can still take a cab home right?

If you have late hours it just means your bank sucks. Your relationship bankers should be looping you in ideally and you only have to execute.

If you're originating out of desperation I highly recommend you leave.
