Are guys who stay in banking just heightpilled?
If ur confident enough and learn sales jedi mind tricks you can earn far more than each finance role possible in ages 22-30y without really even trying. U just get a remote job to fund whatever that endeavor is like btb/aa type newsletters always said when i was in school.
But I’m starting to realize a lot of guys not confident enough to leave banking and not have to rip 70h - alot of those guys are sadly below 5’10 versus majority young entrpreneurs I meet are above said height mark. I figure in that situation its easy to see ur only shot at status being pe/ib?
Valid assumption that heightpill drives this? Thoughts?
banking attracts those who prefer the safer road in the first place so i mean its truly self selecting.
I've always thought about it now, but the short-term successful online entrepreneurs are more artlike than technical. Modern marketing is disgusting.

Well, where is the inclusion of things like wealth? I would also go be an entrepreneur, if my parents were rich enough to enable a luxury lifestyle anyways.

There's actually a very logical reason that most of the young entrepreneurs you've met are tall.
I would be willing to bet my life savings on the average young entrepreneur being from a much higher-income family than the average young person in the general population. And higher-income parents produce taller kids. Both from improved nutrition, and also because higher-income parents are more likely to be from a taller race group (black Americans average the same as white, but Latinos are way shorter, and Southeast Asians are shorter than East and South Asians).
disagree. most disgustingly successful guys ive seen like crushing it at 17-21yo are all from poor families or overwhelmingly middle class. the higher income or even medium income middle class families make kids that end up on this forum making copes like guy above

People might think I'm reaching here but I would guess most people are subconsciously biased against short people (meaning, you don't dislike short people...but all else held equal you're picking the taller person), unless you are quite frankly an outlier talent who is clearly head and shoulders above everyone else (pun intended). The outlier talent become CEOs, founders, top execs etc. Banking is a hard work and politics game, NOT an intelligence game. You don't see short Ds and MDs though, since you can only ride the hard work train to the VP/low D level, not to MD.
correct and shorts wouldnt be so dislikable if they just lost the chip on their shoulder. I'll meet a short and they immediately have this silent animosity towards me that I never get from equivalent height people
I am short and leadership everywhere is tall. I don’t make a big deal about it and try to be friendly/funny/dgaf but it’s definitely real. My height is a knock against me in all areas of life, especially with the women’s league
