Asia IB to US IB/PE - Stick with a boutique bank?

Hi, I will be attending a Canadian semi target next year (Rotman). I have connections and can get into BB IBD in Asia fairly easily. However, I wish to work in the states/Canada in the future. Is it possible to come back to the states/Canada after 2 years of IB experience in Asia? If possible, I do not want to attend business school since I do not wish to spend tons of money and time

Should I just stick with a boutique bank in Canada instead?Any thoughts? suggestions?

Its not that I am giving up on receiving a BB IB offer in Canada. I'm just trying to think realistically.

Thank you in advance.
