Hi everyone, I am recruiting for 2021 SA IBD. I recently got an offer from Barclays/Citi and have a superday at GS/MS/JPM 4 days after my reply deadline for the former. I am wondering if it's worth asking for an extension on my offer to do the super day. In the current economy, I am super nervous about my offer being rescinded. What is your experience with extensions? Will really appreciate your thoughts. Thank you!

Just ask. They wont rescind for asking, but good chance they say no (happened to me before). However, if they do extend it, the FT employees at the firm will know you asked for an extension and may reach out to you

HR sometimes asks the FT employees to reach out. Usually they want to know why you need more time, if you have any more questions about the firm/experience, etc. Up to you how you answer, but remember you may end up working with them
