Asking for help with other firms
So I work at a solid MM bank not located in NYC in the M&A group. The M&A group is full of ex BB NYC guys. We recently had a new guy join who was a VP at GS TMT and then at top PE firm (think KKR/Bain/Silver Lake/TPG).
I've developed a solid relationship with him over the last few weeks and was wondering whether it would be OK to ask him for some assistance in getting over to NYC as I'm sure he is well connected up there.
