Stock pitch during interviews?
Currently doing buyside interviews and wondering if it’s fair to ask people to pitch a stock during interviews - have you ever been asked this?
Asking as I’m not sure if that’s common given limited buyside interview experience
Been asked that before and was surprised - do people ask for stock pitches in buyside interviews?
I have been asked to walk through an investment idea or a sector of interest in numerous buyside interviews for pe, secondaries and co-investing. Guessing the rationale is that the job is investing, so people should have a few investment ideas they can elaborate on. Stock pitches may be less relevant but have been asked that before a couple times as well..
