Asset Management to IB

Hi all long time reader. Curious on the forums thoughts.

Currently in an Asset Management (Equities) rotational program at a large MM in Chicago. Passed CFA 1 and prepping for CFA 2 exam in February. Graduated mid 2023 from a non target undergrad.

What would be the best way into a London BB for M&A. Thinking either post MBA Associate from a top 10 US, MFA from LBS/LSE to analyst, or just try to break in after rotational program with (hopefully) CFA 3 as an analyst.

Thanks!
