Just saw on Litquidity that summer Aso offers at Evercore are now at 185k. Who else has bumped Aso salary? And have bumps been reflected for current Associates yet or only in summer associates offer letters?

I work there. It was moved to 175k about 3 weeks ago. Corporate banking might be 150k.

GS hasn’t made a change for Associates, EXCEPT for the incoming MBA Associate 1s (the ones that started this week). They had their starting salary bumped to $175K.
Our return offers to Summer Associates also went out at $175K.
All other Associates stay the same for now (haven’t heard any news).
Wow - so they’re paying their brand new Associates more than some of their experienced Associates?
I am not 100% sure. I don’t know if the Associates that started last Fall (currently AS1) at $150K have been bumped.
But the current AS2 (class of 2019) are at $175K.
So essentially, the new hires, with 0 days of experience have the same base as AS2 with 2 years of experience.
150 for A1 and 175 for A2
And yes, apparently the MBA associates start as A2...
Does A1 mean the stub year leading into the first full year?
I’m not saying their titles are any different. They are still the new Associates (A0 / A1, whatever you want to call them). But they started this week and got a call last week that their starting salary is $175K not $150K.

The banks that have had offers go out that say 175k for the new associates (MBA class of 2022) are going to up the pay for current associates they just haven’t done it yet. There won’t be a situation where an As0 comes in making the same as an As2, banks aren’t that stupid.
Yeah, 100% agree with you. But for now, at least at GS, the MBA Associates that started this week are getting paid the same base ($175K) as the AS2.
