"At-Large" pool after OCR ding

If you got dinged through your school's OCR for IBD at a BB bank, is it possible that you could still get in through the at-large pool? I'm trying to use these connections I have at a certain BB bank with no connection to my school's on-campus recruiters. I got dinged at this bank's OCR for my university's undergrad recruiting.

go for it

"I do not think that there is any other quality so essential to success of any kind as the quality of perseverance. It overcomes almost everything, even nature."

Generally, this is not possible, unless you have some exceptional (really high up) connections.

Marking your (insert target school here) on the online application automatically filters your resume from the general pool into your school's OCR pool. URM's will get pulled out of this OCR pool into a URM pool, and only those with tip-toppity connections might get a special recommendation to avoid OCR straight to superday.

I personally don't think it's worth pursuing, because if you could have, you would know it already.
