Attaching self worth to bonus
Hi everyone,
Got my bonus this week and it’s safe to say that I feel I have been robbed. I work IB middle office for one prominent BB and had absolutely crushed it last year. Taken on a lot of responsibility and initiatives. My FO people adored me and my leads were pretty happy in the office.
Obviously given all of that I feel pretty bummed out about the bonus and the hikes, esp after finding out that a lot of my peers did fairly well.
Talked to my MD and a few senior VPs but kind of can’t get out of the thoughts in my head.
Currently prepping for GMAT, so that might be a way out but any suggestions on how to go back to performing at a 100%?

Bonuses are shitty everywhere this year relative to last year, but that was an aberration. How did you do relative to peers and what was your annual review like?
