Autumn Internship at Credit Suisse London (Spend the most depressing season in the most depressing job!)

The wise Swiss guys are one of the few BB's to offer this rather viable way of breaking into the industry that actually allows you to enjoy your summer - the so-called Autumn Internship.

(You can read about it here, under the 'Outreach Programs' tab: https://www.credit-suisse.com/careers/campus_recr…)

Does any of you know if they are hiring for Fall 2012? If so, when do they start accepting applications? I've created an account on their career website and tried to pick 'Autumn Internship' from the dropdown menu... to no avail.

my friend did an autumn internship. you have to work harder though because offers have already gone out to summer interns (and winter interns). also - most people last year from autumn internship got dinged (i have an inside source who claims only about 20% got offers).

I was an autumn intern in a top tier BB and got the offer even if my team already had an intern during the summer. I don't know how it works at CS but where I was they first look at all the interns they have during the year and then decide who is gonna get the offer.

Probably you cannot see the position available cause it is already to late for it (i.e.: JPM and MS are no longer recruiting for the autumn so I think it is the same at CS).

I'm grateful that I have two middle fingers, I only wish I had more.

How does it work for autumn internships in general anyway? The cycle usually goes Spring-Summer-Autumn right? so if you're interning in autumn are you in fact competing with the summer analysts before you or after you?
