Back up plans for not converting

I have a banking internship where conversion is 90% but I am terrified of not converting. Would it make sense to learn technicals for other industry grad roles just in case I don’t convert God forbid. So I can be ready when it comes to September ? Or is this an overkill as I am not sure that I might get invited to interview stage

Obviously put the vast majority of your effort on converting the internship, would be a mistake to spend time on technicals / recruiting that should be spent on your internship. Get in early, stay late(r), meet coworkers for coffee / lunch / 30-minute career chats, write down everything they teach you and practice anything you don't understand, and respond to emails promptly.

But yes, I think it's a good idea to study and network on weekends or later nights when not busy. I did the same during my junior internship and ended up getting a return offer as well as a better outside offer.
