I received an offer today for a summer analyst internship, does anyone know what background checks Goldman does. On my cv I put my predicted degree classification as a first, but on my transcript for first year I only got a 2:2 . Do they check this and ask for transcripts?

hey pal i was in the exact identical situation as you 2 years ago with JPM and my cortisol was through the roof.
Don't stress about it. i believe the external agencies which do background checks only look for confirmation that you attend your school and verify past experiences
I did not need to submit a transcript. Not GS but hope this helps as all firms have similar processes
