Bad Recruitment 2011?

Hi everyone:

I'm a rising senior who's currently interning at a hedge fund/investment management firm in Hong Kong. I didn't apply to any BB internships last year, and I landed my current internship by chance. I really like my work right now, and I'm considering going back to Hong Kong after graduation to work for a BB in investment banking, if I can get a job.

So I'm just wondering what you think the recruitment for Hong Kong is going to be like this year? Given that Asian stocks aren't doing very well, do you think they will cut the number of people who they hire? Which banks are expanding most aggressively in Asia? Do you think recruitment is going to be severely weakened this year?

I would really appreciate your views on this, and any advice on how to break in at this point as well. Thanks!
