Banking reference checks in foreign country?

I'm recruiting for 2019 IB SA. I spun my internship experience hard on my resume, and the internship was in a foreign country(East Asia). Because of multiple factors, I didn't actually do a lot, so I'm mainly worried that they'll reference check and uncover that. I think my supervisor actually has an ok opinion of me, but she wouldn't go to bat for me or anything, and I'm fairly sure she's not going to say I was a hard worker, or really did much.
