i would ask for pub fin. esp since he is a director there, you are pretty much guaranteed an interview. if he shoots out to healthcare IB chances are it will get lost in the pile.
i did healthcare pub fin for a while and the work pretty interesting. i also know someone who went from pub finn to a healthcare VC after 1.5 years
