I contacted the bank regarding this and they said the salary was getting cut, as in it was being revised to reflect the duration of the program. Their words. So we'll be getting paid for 8 weeks.

Doesn't makes sense to get paid for 10 weeks when your internship is 8 weeks. It was different last year because of the short notice etc
Take it easy, ponyboy. You can be an associate in fields outside of IB, lol. MBA Associates have careers before going into IB.
Obviously, it makes sense, but it still sucks we are only getting paid for 8 weeks versus 10 as some of us need the income.
Hearing that you won't receive 20% of the summer earnings you'd anticipated since last summer/fall, with two months' notice, still doesn't feel particularly good. Stings even more when you consider they've had more than a year to prepare a 10-week program.
