Barclays NY Tech vs. Barclays Menlo Park Tech differences

Hi everyone,

I’m curious if anyone knows what the main differences in the sub-sectors these two offices of Barclays cover and if there are any other notable differences (typical deal type, office culture, etc.). Do they operate together or are they separate for the most part? Thank you!

NYC: - stronger overall deaflow - higher intensity and hours - more M&A - less friendly to "non-targets" - better for PE recruiting

As for the verticals, menlo park will see more internet and semiconductor deals, but the head of internet still sits in NYC at least as of a few months ago. The 2 offices work with each other pretty often and are also collaborative with other coverage groups.
