Barclays Top Groups 2020

Need help creating a ranking for the best coverage groups at Barclays. Main criteria is PE placement, followed by deal flow and culture. Not interested in Power & Utilities or Natural Resources even though they are considered the best on the street.

This is the top 3 that I've come up with from researching on WSO: 1. Financial Sponsors 2. Healthcare 3. Consumer Retail

Is this accurate? Where would these 3 groups fall in this list: Technology, Media and Communications, and Industrials. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone had insight into these groups and could speak more on what they know or have heard in terms of PE exits, deal flow, culture, or any info at all. Thanks!

I think the three you've mentioned are solid groups for deal flow and hence exits; given that you're not interested in Nat Res or P&U then those are your best bets.

Industrials is strong too but their Tech and M&C groups aren't as strong as the three you mentioned. I would avoid the later two unless you're really interested in the sectors and / or are looking to lateral into a top T/MT group at another bank later down the line.
